vintage mccoy green planter
Super pretty vintage McCoy planter, in a classic garden green. A gently curved top sits on a pedestal inscribed with waves. It would make a lovely spring-y gift filled with bulbs or clover.
McCoy pottery was produced in the U.S. in the early part of the 20th century. It’s widely appreciated for its soft natural colors and organic forms.
This planter is in very good condition, with no chips. It has been used as a planter and there are small dirt-roughened spots at the interior soil line. You can see the most noticeable of these in the 4th photo. The interior has some crazing, and there is one craze line that is visible on both sides – see the last photo. The glaze overall has irregularities typical of this kind of pottery.
